BERG & BERG - FINE ACCESORIES FOR A MODERN GENTLEMAN

Berg & Berg is a project of passion founded in November 2009 by Karin & Mathias Berg. They met at university in 2001 and got married in 2010.

From the start in 2009, their ambition with Berg & Berg has been to create classic timeless products, made by the best manufacturers and using the finest materials. With a discerning eye for quality and lots of inspiration, they want to offer you the items that will be the future classics of your wardrobe.

Some words about heir knitwear and leather goods collection:

● For all leather items we are now using a spectacular vegetable tanned vachetta leather. This leather, called buttero in Italy, has a rich, deep look and will age beautifully. We look forward to see our new wallet and portfolio develop a nice patina over the next years. Still not impressed? Well, our new wallets are lined with soft Italian suede. Your credit cards have never been so comfortable.

● For Scandinavians, knitwear has always been a spring/summer staple, for breezy mornings, chilly evenings and even cold days. This season we have a few new models, which we hope can satisfy your spring/summer knitwear needs: A new round neck cashmere sweater, perfect both summer and winter, and a cashmere/silk raglan sleeve round neck striped sweater, wonderful for casual summer days. In addition our contrast trim cardigan is reintroduced in two new colours, a camel/caramel combination and a denim blue/cream version.

Who makes Berg & Berg products? All products are made to last by niche manufacturers, most of them located in Italy. From the wool and cashmere specialists in Biella to the tie-makers of Naples. Their knitwear collection is made by one of the traditional scottish cashmere manufacturers located in the Scottish Borders region and the leather goods is made by artisans in a family firm located outside Milan that has been doing this for four generations.

I need to say that I was really impressed about the quality of their products. Their knitted ties are amazing and my new Berg&Berg braided belt is my favourite accesory right now.

A purveyor of fine accessories, flynch was established near Cambridge in 2012 by Freddie Lynch. As a man who always wears a double cuff shirt, Freddie had searched for an affordable, yet stylish, collection of cufflinks for many years before striking upon the idea of sourcing and creating his own range.

Driven by a passion for unearthing the very best products, Freddie scoured the market to find the highest quality knotted and woven cufflinks to bring to the UK market. Each set of cufflinks comprises 12 individual pairs presented in a stylish flynch cufflink box, making them easy to store, perfect for travel or the ideal gift. Looking ahead to the future, flynch is planning to expand its range further to provide stylish, modern-traditional accessories at an affordable price.

PATTERN OF SOCIETY - Ties & Accessories for the Modern Man

PATTERN OF SOCIETY provides every man with a individual and stylish outfit. The times, where men couldn’t be told apart in an office are over. As are those where ties where restricted to only this area. Pattern of Society brings the most classic and traditional male accessory – the tie –  back to its well deserved role in every mans leisure wear while spicing up the office look.

PATTERN OF SOCIETY Ties & Accessories

The special feature that makes the Pattern of Society ties unique is the shrewd idea to use different fabrics for the front and the end part of the tie. This way, when the end part isn’t pulled through the loop in the back, called Passantino, the different fabric from the end part will peek through at the side, giving the outfit a modern and recognizable touch. The ties are held in classic and casual patterns and textures. Various widths, fabrics and prices cater to the different needs of the customers.

Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back. Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

For me a perfect watch should have a clean and thin design, with a brown leather band, golden casing, white dial, and now I have the perfect watch from Daniel Wellington.

If you don’t know about this brand, allow me to educate you :

The story behind Daniel Wellington begins with a trip half way around the globe where Filip Tysander, the founder of Daniel Wellington, met an intriguing gentleman from the British Isles. The man had the inspiring ability to be gentlemanly but still relaxed and unpretentious. He had an impeccable style, and loved to wear his Rolexes on old weathered Nato straps. His name? Well, Daniel Wellington, of course.

A strong friendship emerged between the two, and our founder was inspired not only by the mans many great life stories but also by his class and timeless style of fashion. As we now know, he was so inspired that he decided to name his line of watches after him. We believe that we’ve managed to capture a bit of Daniel and his style in our watches, and a year to date, we trust that Daniel would be proud of what we’ve achieved.

           The Daniel Wellington Watch

The “preppy” trend is bigger than ever before. And while there are many big players in the fashion industry that caters to preppy needs, such as Ralph Lauren, Gant and Brooks Brothers, we felt that there was an empty space in the watch market. There was something missing.

We believe that Daniel Wellington fills that gap. Our vision is that when someone thinks of a preppy dressed person, he or she is wearing a Daniel Wellington watch.

           The watch design

Daniel Wellington loved to wear his Rolex watches on old Nato straps. We liked the idea and feel of the mix so much that we wanted to incorporate the idea into our own line of watches. However, we felt it important to make the watch thin and elegant – we wanted a clean design, without too many features, that would look good with the different patterns and colours of the classic Nato straps.

After returning from his trip, Filip sat down and started looking at different watches he liked himself. It was important that he loved the watch personally, or he knew that he could never sell it and be proud over it. He liked to use Daniel Wellington as a type of quality assurance and would often ask himself; would this be good enough for Daniel? Could he be seen wearing one of our watches on the beaches of some remote island?

Slowly but surely, a beautiful watch emerged. It was thin, refined and perfectly round. It was minimalistic and didn’t have too many details. We believe that the traditional, yet crisp design blends together perfectly with the colourful Nato strap and will appeal to almost everyone with a sense for classic and timeless design.

           The Nato strap

The straps themselves are an important part of the watch. Nato straps originate from the British navy, where divers would use the strong nylon straps over their wet suits. Even though they were originally made to avoid rust, we love the look and versatility of them. That’s why we wanted to create a line of different straps with different colours and patterns – but all with a strong bond to the British Isles.

Sean Connery, another big fan of the Nato strap, wore one in James Bond movie “Dr No”. Need we say more?

           A watch for every occasion

The Daniel Wellington watch is suitable for every occasion. Regardless if you’re attending a black tie event, playing a game of tennis or enjoying a sunny day at the beach club – the Daniel Wellington is a beautiful companion.
